Shonda D. Achord, O.D.
Dr. Shonda Doucet Achord is a Gonzales native. She graduated from St. Amant High School and is an alumna of Louisiana State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After graduating from LSU, Dr. Achord attended the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) in Houston, Texas, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree. While at UHCO, she was nominated to be a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Fraternity and was the recipient of the Contact Lens Achievement Award for outstanding performance in contact lens clinic. She was also recognized for clinical excellence with particular proficiency in the areas of allergic eye disease and pathology. Dr. Achord has been in practice serving the greater Baton Rouge area since 1992, and she established the Achord Eye Clinic in February of 2000. She currently specializes in difficult to fit contact lens cases, and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometry Association of Louisiana.
Erica Durlacher O.D.
Dr. Erica Durlacher is a Baton Rouge native. She graduated from Runnels High School and is an alumna of Southeastern Louisiana University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After graduating SLU, Dr. Durlacher attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Durlacher belonged to many organizations in optometry school such as the Lion’s Club, and Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity where she traveled to Jamaica, Mexico and Haiti to give free eye exams. Dr. Durlacher was also was a part of special interest groups focusing on the pediatric population and on contact lens fittings. Dr. Durlacher is currently an Infant See provider, a member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometry Association of Louisiana.
Crystal Gueldner O.D.
Dr. Crystal Gueldner is a Texas native that moved to Louisiana to attend Southeastern Louisiana University. In 2008 Dr. Gueldner received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Southeastern Louisiana University. She then went on to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. She graduated in 2013 with Cum Laude honors, and was recognized with outstanding clinical and academic performance. Dr. Gueldner has clinical experience in primary eye care, ocular disease management and treatment, contact lenses, pediatrics, low vision, vision therapy, and post-operative care and management. She enjoys all aspects of eye care, and strives to provide exceptional care for her patients. Dr. Gueldner is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Optometry Association of Louisiana.
Bridgette Connorton, O.D.
Dr. Bridgette Connorton is a New Orleans native. She graduated from St. Mary’s Dominican High School and is an alumna of University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Biology with magna cum laude honors. She was also the captain of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette women’s soccer team her junior and senior years. Dr. Connorton earned her optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2013. She graduated with cum laude honors and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Optometry Association of Louisiana. Dr. Connorton has clinic experience in primary eye care, ocular disease management, contact lenses, pediatrics, and postoperative care and management.
